Young Tatarstan citizens are invited to compete for the Glagolitsa literary prize

The Happy Stories Charitable Foundation announces the launch of the VII Glagolitsa Independent Literary Award. This is a literary competition for young authors writing in Russian and Tatar languages. Students from 10 to 17 years old are invited to participate. A young author needs to write a work on an arbitrary topic, choose a nomination: prose, poetry, essay or literary translations, register on the website www.glagolitsa-rt.ru and place it in his personal account. The last day for accepting applications is September 15. The Glagolitsa Prize is a non-commercial project, so there are no organizational fees.

The Glagolitsa Prize is held in several stages - the first one takes place online and has already started. The decisive stage is the face-to-face master classes of the jury members, which will be organized in the format of a literary session in November in Kazan.

By the way, more than 4000 children from 45 cities and regions of Tatarstan, 7 cities and regions of our country: from Petrozavodsk to Yakutsk, 12 foreign countries, including Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Finland, China, Cyprus, Tunisia, Australia and others have already taken part in it.

The works of young authors will be evaluated by eminent writers of Russia and Tatarstan: Viktor Lunin, Anna Russ, Sergei Makhotin, Galimyan Gilmanov, Mikhail Yasnov, Rustem Galiullin, Olga Varshaver, Nadezhda Azhgikhina, Rifat Salakh. This year, for the first time, Narine Abgaryan and Olga Mäeots are on the jury. Negotiations are underway for the participation of the distinguished guest, the famous American writer Ali Benjamin.

For the first time in the 2020 season, a competition for bilingual children living abroad is being held within the framework of the Glagolitsa Prize.
