A model library is being prepared for opening in the Spassky district within the framework of the national project "Culture"
Last year, the Central Library of the Spassky District won a competition for the creation of model libraries worth 10 million rubles.
The building has already been overhauled. The halls have become bright and can now be easily transformed: part of the shelves will stand on movable wheels and, if necessary, they can be moved apart, making room for events.
According to the director Marina Igorevna Bedova, in the development of the library modernization project, both the results of the questionnaire survey of city residents and the conceptual requirements for the modern design of the space were taken into account. An important condition was the renewal of the library space: its openness and the possibility of zoning, comfort and ergonomics, new design solutions in the interior, the use of corporate identity.
Currently, specialists are assembling new furniture, installing a video surveillance system and connecting the Internet.
Recently, a hardware and software complex for disabled visitors was brought to the library. It includes a candy bar with specialized speech synthesis software, an electronic video magnifier, a backlit magnifier, a specialized keyboard, a radio system for the hearing impaired, and a speech therapy simulator. In addition, specially adapted sports board games were purchased for visitors with disabilities.
Many surprises await young readers: they will have the opportunity to paint with sand on the light table - this is a developmental system that stimulates the creative and intellectual abilities of kids. There will also be a children's area with books, a business board and a TV set for them.
From day to day, the library is waiting for the delivery of a disinfecting box for books, which is especially important during the spread of coronavirus infection.
Together with the interior in the library, the book fund will also be renewed. In total, about three thousand books were received, now they are processed by the specialists of the acquisition department. The choice of literature, according to them, also took place in accordance with the requests of readers.
Soon, in the Central Library, it will be possible not only to enjoy reading a fascinating book, but also to spend time with friends, sitting in a cozy soft zone and even visit a cinema hall and a mobile planetarium.
By the way, the Bolgar library is a member of the national project "Culture" in all three directions.
Thanks to the federal project "Creative People", all library employees have completed online advanced training courses at leading universities in our country. An additional 6 people - in the Russian State Library under the professional program "Creation of model municipal libraries within the framework of the national project" Culture ".
And last year, within the framework of the federal project Digital Culture of the national project "Culture", a virtual concert hall was created on the basis of the library.
The long-awaited opening of the regional library will take place very soon, which has changed beyond recognition in several months.
We remind that in 2020, transformations within the framework of the national project "Culture" will affect 3 libraries: in the Spassky, Arsky and Vysokogorsky districts. In 2020, model libraries were opened in the Zelenodolsk region on the basis of the Belobezvodnenskaya library and in the Kukmorsky region on the basis of the Asan-Elginsky rural library.
