From saxophones to drum stools: to the music school №16 named. O.L. Lundstrem brought musical instruments
Within the framework of the federal project "Cultural Environment" of the national project "Culture", children's art schools and professional educational organizations of Tatarstan continue to receive musical instruments, special equipment and furniture. This time, 2 saxophones, a trumpet, 2 guitars, as well as banquettes, mutes for trumpets and trombones, a set of stands for cymbals and chairs for drummers were brought to the Children's Music School No. 16 named after OL Lundstrem. Equipping the school takes place in several stages. Prior to that, the school received 6 Glinka pianos, a flute, sound equipment, a radio system with head microphones, methodological literature, furniture, interactive and magnetic boards. In the near future, cellos, drum set, trombone are expected here. The list for equipping the school includes more than 40 items for a total amount of over 7.5 million rubles.
“I am very glad that our children will learn to play new instruments of good brands and good quality,” said Natalya Anatolyevna Protasova, director of the O. L. Lundstrem Children's Music School No. 16. - On the basis of our school, a city symphonic jazz orchestra was created, led by pedagogue A.S. Kozlov. Pupils take great pleasure in learning how to play jazz correctly. Not all parents can purchase an expensive, professional instrument for their child. This is a great gift for children. Having such instruments, I hope that our school will represent the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan with dignity at all kinds of competitions and concerts. "
Let us remind you that thanks to the federal project "Cultural Environment" of the national project "Culture", 11 children's art schools, as well as three professional educational organizations, will receive support this year. All of them will be completed before the start of the school year. A total of 106,384,500 rubles have been allocated for these purposes, of which 61,703,000 rubles. - from the federal budget, 44 681 500 rubles.
In addition to equipping educational institutions of culture, funds were also directed to major repairs. This year, within the framework of the regional project "Cultural Environment" of the national project "Culture", 18 educational institutions will be reconstructed: 17 children's art schools and the Almetyevsk Music College named after F.Z. Yarullin.

Pupils of the school have repeatedly become laureates and diploma winners of city, Republican, All-Russian and International competitions. The ensemble under the direction of D.V. Pankin "Seven Steps" took part in jazz festivals and contest in Kazan, St. Petersburg, Samara, toured the countries of Western Europe - Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Germany. In 2007 and 2008. became a laureate of the I and II All-Russian competitions for young performers, which were held at KSUKI, took the II place at the International competition "Jazz-Parnas-2007" in St. Petersburg.
