XXXI F.I. Shalyapin festival opens in M. Jalil Tatar Academic State Theatre of Opera and Ballet

XXXI F.I. Shalyapin  international opera  festival will  go   on the stage of M. Jalil Tatar academic theatre from  February 1 to 16,   2013. Shalyapin’s festival -2013 is dedicated to  140th anniversary of the great bass singer.

By tradition,  the festival is opened by a premiere  - in a current season, it is  «Aida»  by G. Verdi   put by  a renowned director, the people’s artist of Russia  Yuri Alexandrov  (St. Petersburg). New scenic painting  and  costumes  have been created by the Moscow artist Victor Gerasimenko.  Staging of the performance is carried out  in the year of  200th jubilee of composer Giuseppe . Verdi  (1813-1901).
