Today, on the facade of the building of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan, a memorial plaque was opened in honor of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the republican executive bodies of the TASSR. The event was attended by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexei Pesoshin, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin and Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Osintsev, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova.
The Museum of Fine Arts of the RT is located in a historical building on the street. Karl Marx, 64, where in 1920 was the First House of Soviets. It was here that 100 years ago, the Kazan Provincial Executive Committee transferred power to the Provisional Revolutionary Committee of the Autonomous Tatar Socialist Soviet Republic, and its first authorities were formed. The head of the Provisional Revolutionary Committee, the chairman of the first government was Sahib-Garei Said-Galiev.
Alexey Pesoshin noted that the 100th anniversary of the TASSR is an outstanding event that turns us to the origins of the formation of the republic, its heroic path and modern statehood.
“Today we are perpetuating a historic and socially significant event. It is here that the starting point for the formation of one of the first national republics and subjects of the RSFSR - the Republic of Tatarstan. With a feeling of deep respect, we pay tribute to everyone who participated in the establishment of the modern status of the Republic of Tatarstan, ”the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan emphasized.
“Today is a very significant, solemn and memorable event for our republic,” Farid Mukhametshin said in turn. - Exactly 100 years ago, the first executive power of Tatarstan was organized in this building. Our predecessors made a huge contribution to the development of the republic, which today is one of the leading regions of the country. ”
The head of parliament expressed confidence that the opening of the memorial plaque will once again draw the attention of the inhabitants of Tatarstan to the history of their republic.
Then Alexey Pesoshin, Farid Mukhametshin and Vladimir Osintsev visited the Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan, where repair and restoration work was recently completed.
