Today, an airplane of the Aeroflot airline  in honor of the great Tatar poet, Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Jalil,  has  landed at Kazan International Airport. Among the first passengers of the flight there  were the assistant to the President of Russia Igor Levitin, deputy general director - flight director of PJSC Aeroflot Igor Chalik, as well as the family of the Tatar poet: daughter, granddaughter and great-grandchildren.

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in the solemn meeting of the guests of honor.

“Musa Jalil is a hero not only for Tatarstan, but for the whole country. The memory of his achievement must live forever. Today, June 24, like 75 years ago, we held the Parade of Winners. It is very important that the plane arrived in Kazan on such a day. This is our pride. We are very grateful to our federal colleagues and Aeroflot management for supporting our proposal, ”Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.

The board followed the route Moscow-Kazan. Musa's daughter Jalil Chulpan Zalilova said that a lot of things were connected with the classics of Tatar literature with Kazan. The poet studied and worked in the capital of Tatarstan, from here went to the front. “We are filled with pride and joy that the liner of such extraordinary beauty bears the name of my father. In 1942, he wrote in his diary that he was not afraid of death, that there was life after death when you remained in the memory of the people. If you do something immortal, then they will write about you, print portraits. And here not only portraits, but such a beautiful plane bears his name, ”said Chulpan Zalilova.

We remind  that the President of Tatarstan took the initiative to assign the name of Musa Jalil to one of the boards of Aeroflot. The idea was supported by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the airline management. The name of the poet was named an Airbus A320 family aircraft.
