In Kazan, at the 96th year of life, Stella Pisareva, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, died

On the night of May 25, 96, Stella Vladimirovna Pisareva, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Honored Worker of Kazan University, one of the most famous, respected   museum figures of the republic, died.

A unique person passed away, who devotedly served the preservation of cultural heritage and the development of museum business in the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation.

Stella Vladimirovna Pisareva was born on February 28, 1925 in the city of Berdichev, Zhytomyr region. In 1946 she graduated from Kazan State University  after  Ulyanov-Lenin, in the same year came to the Kazan Museum of  after M/ Gorky (now the Museum of A.M. Gorky and F.I. Shaliapin), where she worked until 1964. From 1964 to 1978, Stella Vladimirovna held the position of Deputy Director for Research at the State Museum of the TASSR, leading not only the research direction, but also creating exhibitions and large-scale exhibitions.

Significant contribution by  S.V. Pisareva in the creation of new republican museums. Under her leadership, the Museum of Y. Gashek in the city of Bugulma, the Museum of N.I. Lobachevsky in the city of Kozlovsk, the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, the Museum of the History of the City and the Construction of KamAZ in Naberezhnye Chelny, the Museum of G. Tukay in the village of Kirlay.

A new stage in the biography began in 1978, when Stella Vladimirovna became the organizer and for almost forty years was the permanent director of the Museum of History of Kazan University, which became the most important center of cultural life in the city, one of the leading university museums in Russia.

For many years, Stella Vladimirovna headed the Scientific and Methodological Council of the University Museums of the Middle Volga Region, was a member of the Board of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the University Museums of the Russian Federation. In the 1950s, she was deputy chairman of the Republican Military Chef Commission; in the 1960s, she was deputy chairman of the youth commission of the Tatarstan branch of the Knowledge Society. She became one of the initiators and organizers of the Kazan city branch of the Society of Soviet-Czechoslovak friendship, for about 30 years she was the first deputy chairman of the board of the city, and then the republican branch of the society.

The last years of the life of Stella Vladimirovna were again associated with the Museum of A.M. Gorky and F.I. Shaliapin, where she acted as the organizer of concerts and creative meetings with cultural figures of Kazan and Tatarstan.

Stella Vladimirovna's labor activity is the path of selfless and devoted service to her profession, which is called upon to preserve and pass on the cultural and historical heritage to future generations.

For many years of activity, Stella Vladimirovna was awarded the title "Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan", awarded the medals "For Valiant Labor"; "In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of V.I. Lenin ”,“ For Labor Distinction ”,“ In Memory of the 1000th Anniversary of Kazan ”,“ 100 Years of the Formation of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic ”; with the badge “For achievements in culture”, Certificates of Appreciation and Letters of Appreciation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Union of Museums of Russia, was awarded the Honorary title “Honored Worker of Kazan University”.

The museum community has lost an enthusiastic and hardworking colleague, a professional of the highest level. Colleagues sincerely empathize and share the pain, sorrow and bitterness of this irreparable loss with relatives and friends of Stella Vladimirovna.
