The collection of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan was replenished with the highest state award of Tatarstan - the Order of Merit for the Republic of Tatarstan, number 1, which belonged to the prominent Tatar singer Ilham Shakirov. With this initiative, the relatives of the legendary artist came forward.
Ilham Shakirov was the lead vocalist of the Tatar State Philharmonic named after Gabdulla Tukai and the artistic director of the Tatar State Philharmonic named after G. Tukai. He was the first to be awarded the highest award of the republic - the order "For Merit to the Republic of Tatarstan". It was presented to him on February 16, 2005.
The order is made in the form of an eight-pointed star made of silver of the 925th probe using the method of gilding and enameling. The badge of the order with the help of a decorative eyelet in the form of a tulip and a ring is connected to a pentagonal block covered with a silk moire tricolor ribbon, symbolizing the colors of the State Flag of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Together with the order, relatives decided to transfer to the museum other awards of our famous compatriot.
According to the Director General of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, Gulchachak Nazipova, the relics will be included in the memorial collection of Ilgam Shakirov, which has been forming since the 1990s. Today it has more than 300 storage units, among them documents and photographs, personal items, posters and programs of performances, manuscripts, letters from fans, books, records with the singer’s recordings, many of which were personally handed over to the museum by I. Shakirov in 1995-1997 ., as well as the Jien Foundation and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The collection of I. Shakirov is an integral part of the collection of personal collections of famous Tatar copywriters and musicians of the museum - S. Saidashev, A. Klyucharyov, M. Muzaffarov, N. Zhiganov, J. Fayzi, F. Yarullin, F. Tuishev and others.
