The Russian Institute of Theater Arts - GITIS and the B. Shchukin Theater Institute open free online continuing education courses. They will contribute to the professional development of actors during the period of self-isolation.
The project was launched on the initiative of the rectors of educational institutions Grigory Zaslavsky and Evgeny Knyazev as part of the national project "Culture". Courses are based on the Center for Continuing Education.
As the authors of the idea noted, its goal is to support the acting community and create conditions for professional development during the period of self-isolation.
Courses will be held remotely. Three programs on acting, stage speech and stage movement, each of which includes 16 academic hours, will be presented to the students' choice.
Participation in the project is free. Those who wish to improve their qualifications should send an email marked "Program 16 hours" to the email address. Detailed information is available on the GITIS website.
Last year, more than 850 employees from theaters of Russia and neighboring countries received advanced training at the Center for Continuing Education.
