“Around the spring of last year, from my friend, a wonderful artist Aleksey Ruman (author of the idea and cover design for the song“ Ay, was a former ”), I learned that a film was being made based on the novel“ Zuleikha opens her eyes ”, in which Chulpan plays the main role Khamatova, whom we have known for a long time, ”recalls Dina Garipova. - Then I wrote her a letter stating that we are preparing a Tatar album for release, and if the film needs some kind of musical accompaniment, then maybe something from my material will come in handy. Almost half a year later, the director of the film, Yegor Anashkin, called me and said that they really liked our version of the song “Ay, I’ve been” and they want to take it to the opening credits. Immediately a very dense work began. We needed to adapt our version of “Ah, I was the old one” for introductory credits, which have their own timing and a certain plot. As a result, we remade the song about twenty times so that the musical series exactly matches the visual. ” The composer Radik Salimov, the head of the musical part of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Tatarstan (one of the co-authors of the song), and the sound producer Dmitry Agafonov, who also works on the Russian album of the singer, took part in the work.

“We tried very hard to get to that very right point, so that the author of the novel Guzel Yakhin, and all who worked on the film adaptation, and, most importantly, the audience were satisfied with the result. I really hope that we succeeded, ”said the performer.
