Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova held a working meeting with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting was attended by  Minister of Culture of the region Irada Ayupova, First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Sergey Obryvalin, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Yarilova and others.

Head of Tatarstan spoke about the implementation of the national project "Culture" in the region. Currently undergoing major repairs of the State Puppet Theater in Naberezhnye Chelny, the opening of which is scheduled for 2020. Two model libraries were created in the region in 2019, three more will open in 2020.

“We have five houses of culture being repaired by the national project in 2020. We also received funds for updating the park of musical instruments in children's art schools, ”explained Irada Ayupova.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted the need to build Cultural Development Centers in the region. In 2015, two such institutions appeared in the republic.

“The construction of cultural development centers is an important topic for discussion. Of course, we can raise the question that the number of Cultural Development Centers under construction needs to be increased, ”Olga Lyubimova noted.

“The need for centers for cultural development is great, not only in Tatarstan. Everyone wants, everyone understands that these are drivers for the development of a small city, ”said Olga Yarilova.

The meeting also discussed the possibility of supporting the Russian Drama Theater "Artisans" in Naberezhnye Chelny, carrying out repair and restoration work on the "Public Places" facility of the Kazan Kremlin and the construction of the Admiralty Shipyard museum complex in Kazan. In addition, the question was raised about the allocation of budget places in the Kazan State Institute of Culture.
