Applications for the 1st literary and theater festival-conference “Reading Tatarstan: the literary scene” started

For the first time in the Republic of Tatarstan, a literary and theater festival-conference "Reading Tatarstan: a literary scene" is being held. The creative show is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the TASSR. Its goal is to attract modern youth to reading books, creating a feeling of love and respect for their small homeland, its cultural, national and historical heritage.

The organizers of the festival are: Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, JSC TATMEDIA, State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Tatarstan Tatar Book Publishing House, All-Russian Public Fund Tatar Family, a branch of JSC TATMEDIA RZ Salavat Cooper - Sәhnә magazine of culture and art.

Residents of the Republic of Tatarstan who have reached 16 years of age are invited to participate in a creative competition. Competitors must send the organizers a video of reading an excerpt from any recommended work and send it to the festival organizing committee by e-mail: saxna@mail.ru.

The second, in-person, stage of the competition is planned to be held in spring in the houses of culture of municipal districts. The final and debriefing will take place in Kazan in early summer.

The last day for applications is March 31.
