On February 2, the 11th gala concert of the Tuym Zhondozy All-Russian Youth Competition and Festival of Kryashensky Ethnic Art will be held at the Moskovsky Exhibition Center. This year for the first time two Grand Prix will be played: among soloists and ensembles.
The competition “Tuym Zhondozy” - “Christmas Star”, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the public organization of the Kryashen of the Republic of Tatarstan, the republican cultural and educational newspaper Kryashen “Tuganailar”, the Cultural Center named after Yakov Emelyanov, the State Folk Ensemble of Kryashen “Bermyanchek”, is held 11 times . Today, more than 180 people from 5 to 35 years old took part in it - these are soloists, vocal groups performing folk music, folklore and ethnographic groups showing fragments of folk holidays, customs, ceremonies, games, etc. from different regions of Tatarstan and Russian regions. According to the results of the zonal stages, which took place in 2 cities and 3 regions of Tatarstan, 35 contestants have been selected for the final.
According to the organizers, the 11th All-Russian Youth Competition of Kryashensk Ethnic Art “Tuym Zhondozy” - “Christmas Star” is called to support the development and preservation of ethnic culture of Kryashens, to help identify young original performers of folk song, instrumental, and choreographic art, to help increase their creative skills, create favorable conditions for collectives striving to master ethnic art, to master and open the repertoire wealth of culture.
At the gala concert, the winners will be awarded with diplomas and money certificates. In addition, each finalist will receive a Christmas star - a symbol of the festival.
