A joint exhibition of painters of Tatarstan and Chuvashia at the House of Friendship of the Peoples of Tatarstan launched the Chuvash Culture Days in the Republic of Tatarstan, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Chuvash Autonomous Region and the 100th anniversary of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
Opening the exhibition, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan - Director of the House of Friendship of Peoples of the Republic of Tatarstan Irek Sharipov noted the importance of this event for the Tatar and Chuvash peoples.
“It is impossible to divide one nation by territorial and administrative borders; it always remains one nation. I am glad that we once again have the opportunity to do something that will unite the Chuvashs of Tatarstan and Chuvashia, as well as the Tatars who live in two regions, ”Irek Sharipov said.
Deputy Chairman of the Chuvash National Cultural Autonomy of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Ivanov marked that the friendship between the Chuvash and Tatar peoples is more than a hundred years old.
“I can’t say that we are different people. We are friendly peoples, we are friends and we will continue to move forward hand in hand, ”he concluded.
The exposition includes the works of 70 painters from Tatarstan and Chuvashia, made in different genres.
Masters from Chuvashia presented to the attention of Kazan a series of works entitled “The Land of 100 Thousand Songs and Patterns”. Among them are folk artists of the Chechen Republic Mikhail Grigoryan, Anatoly Danilov, Konstantin Dolgashov, Nikolai Egorov; Honored artists and cultural workers of the Chechen Republic Vagiz Kamaletdinov, Olga Leontyeva, Midhat Shakirov and others.
The Tatarstan part of the exposition is represented by the works of Honored Artist of Russia, Chairman of the RT Union of Painters Zufar Gimaev; People's Artist of the RT Mudaris Mingazov; Honored Art Workers of the Republic of Tatarstan Yuri Berdnikov, Rabis Salyakhov and others.
