RT Minister of Culture met with the First Secretary of the Embassy of Indonesia in the Russian Federation

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Damir Natfullin, head of the department of network interaction, international and inter-regional cooperation Lilia Zaynullina; on the Indonesian side, Mr. Angie Diana, First Secretary of the Embassy of Indonesia in the Russian Federation, and Khartomi Akbar, President of the Association of Indonesian Students in the Republic of Tatarstan.

The guests brought to Kazan the feature film “LIMA” (FIVE), which will be presented to the public on January 25 at 11.30 in the Mir cinema. Entrance to it will be free. The film screening is dedicated to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Russia (February 3, 2020). The picture raises such pressing issues as the diversity of views, opinions in society and tolerance. Special guests of the show will be film director Lola Amaria and one of the main roles, actor Baskara Mahendra, said Mr. Angie Diana.

The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan told the guests about the most interesting areas of cooperation: the participation of Indonesian directors in the Kazan International Muslim Cinema Festival, the project “Cinema in 7 Days”. By the way, in 2012 the film “Pigeon” directed by Jim de Sev took part in the Kazan Muslim Film Festival, and in 2017 the film “Tour” directed by Vikaksono Visnu Legovo was shown as part of the out-of-competition program “Indonesian Cinema”, in 2019 the film “ Song of the Private, directed by Yuda Kurniavana, was presented in the nomination Documentary Feature Films.

The Indonesian Minister of Culture invited young designers and fashion designers from Indonesia to take part in the festival “Light, Sound, Fashion”.

“This is a project to preserve an authentic culture in the beauty industry. Today, increasingly successful fashion houses are turning to authentic culture. In a rapidly changing world, it is very important to preserve the authentic culture of every nation. We also wanted to show the relevance in the modern world of authentic music, ”Irada Ayupova emphasized, introducing the project.

Among the priority areas of cooperation were also noted folk arts and crafts and educational projects.
