From 8 to 20 January in Tatarstan, the Raif art festival will be held

Within the framework of  enlightening art program “Touching the Cultures”, from January 8 to 20, the Raif art festival will be held on the territory of the Raifsky Mother of God Monastery. It will bring together artists from different cities of Russia to create art objects, paintings and ice sculptures, united by a common idea.

According to the organizers, the main task of the art laboratory is to study the area of ​​touch of cultures, Christian and Islamic (for example, the Republic of Tatarstan) through a plastic and visual embodiment.

The Artistic Touch of Cultures program is part of the Raifa Spiritual Radiance project to create a creative cluster with regular art events (festival, symposium, master class, etc.), on the basis of which a residence will be organized in the future to attract creative forces.

According to the festival's administrative director, monk Evgeny, assistant governor and art director Alfiya Ilyasova (Sargin), the festival's mission is enlightening, the task of artists is to convey the idea of ​​the common basis of our cultures through the image to preserve peace and harmony in intercultural communications.

The final exposition will be presented on January 19 at an open gallery in the natural landscape of Lake Raifa on the feast of the Epiphany.
