Over the year, the number of participants in public projects of the Volga Federal District increased by 160 thousand people
In 2019, the number of children who took part in district projects of a patriotic, scientific, technical, sports and cultural orientation amounted to 537 thousand people and increased by more than 160 thousand people compared to last year. This was during a meeting of the Council of the Fund for the Promotion of the Development of Civil Society Institutions in the Volga Federal District, plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov.
The meeting, which was held on December 19, was devoted to summing up the results of the implementation of district public projects in 2019 and the prospects for their development.
The plenipotentiary representative noted that in 2020, the festival of theatrical Volga Region, the school and student theater groups loved by many, will continue. This year, 114 student and 369 school theaters took part in it, 7 thousand young actors took part in competitive performances. Their productions were watched by about 150 thousand spectators. Video versions of performances on the Internet were able to see more than 43 thousand people. The winners of the competition of student and school productions received targeted cash certificates for new performances in 2020.
The plenipotentiary also noted that in 2020, the district will continue to develop a system of integrated support for people with mental disabilities. Now pilot work is already underway in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The accumulated practice will be scaled to other regions of the Volga Federal District.
In the Year of Remembrance and Glory declared by the President of the Russian Federation, special attention will be paid to district projects of a patriotic orientation: “Heroes of the Fatherland”, “Kadetstvo”, “Zarnitsa of the Volga Region”, military-sports camp “Guardsman”, rally of search units of the Volga Federal District “Nobody is Forgotten”.
Popular public projects such as RETURN CHILDHOOD, Turiada, the intellectual olympiad among students and schoolchildren of the district, and the Volga Federal District youth forum will continue to develop.
