Visit of journalists takes place to the platform where shooting a film «Kurban roman» is held

Today,  a visit  of the journalists  took place  to a platform  where shooting  of the  feature  film «Kurban roman» on  the same  novelette   by Ildar Abuzyarov is held.  

Director of the film  is Salavat Yuzeev whose  fictions films  and documentaries  received number of prizes and awards at the international and Russian cinema festivals. Script writer  – Ildar Abuzyarov,  one of notable writers of Russia, the only Tatar, having become a laureate of prestigious Pushkin’s award.  

Main women’s parts in the film  are performed   by ballet-lady dancer of M.Jalil TASTO and  Alexandra Elagina,  TNC anchor, actress  Leisan Dusaeva. Main men’s roles in the film are played   by actors  from St. Petersburg  Danil Shigapov and Ernest Timerkhanov.

It is worth marking that  Danil Shigapov was born in Kazan, finished Kazan school and then left to study at SPbGATI.  Ernest Timerkhanov featured in a film  «Bibinur» which in  2010  became the  best fiction film and received Grand Prix of Kazan international  festival of Muslim cinema .

The work over the film keeps going already 20th day, it  left the same time period  and therefore shooting group marked an  equator. In spring, shootings of some other scenes about  childhood of the heroes    will be held.

During  a meeting with journalists Salavat Yyzeev mentioned that the work is very imaginative: «The novelette tells  about  young musicians, by nationality they are Tatars but live in Poland. Nevertheless, they feel their national identity. When evil chance comes and ballet girl  falls ill, their lady  friend Marysya, they resolve to sacrifice animal during holyday Kurban bairam. It is absolutely new for them, but they accomplish this ritual. To the point, in Abuzyarov’s novelette a cow is sacrificed but in the film, it is a a lamb».

The director  mentioned that during shooting  sacrifice episodes s  not a single  animal suffered «We cannot kill an actor on shooting platform and sheep in this case is the same actor».

Salavat Yuzeev  told  that there are differences between  the novelette and the film: «We quite seriously have  changed a plot. Action of the film takes place not in Poland  but in Tatarstan.  However,  the main characters are the same as in original –violinists. Almost all has changed, but the yeast of the novel out of which  all is appearing  and fermenting remained».
