Today in Kazan opens the XI All-Russian Theater Festival of Young Directors "Remeslo (Craft)"
The poster of the All-Russian Theater Festival of Young Directing "Remeslo" - 25 performances. It is possible to watch them at 8 theater sites in Kazan: at the Youth Theater named after G. Kariev, TSAT after G. Kamal, Tatar State Drama and Comedy Theater named after K. Tinchurin, Young Spectator Theater, Tatar State Puppet Theater "Ekiyat", creative laboratory "Ugol (Corner)", gallery of art "Window" (Kazan City Hall) and WERK art space.
The “Remeslo” is held for the eleventh time, for the first time since 2009 its organization was entrusted to the Kariev Theater, which took over from the Kamal Theater, the ideological initiator of the festival. The main task of “Remeslo” is to provide an opportunity for young directors to express themselves in the professional community, while performances staged by directors under the age of 35 years or 5 years after their debut in the profession are allowed to participate in the festival. At the festival venues, performances will be shown, the premieres of which took place during the last theater season.
Within the framework of "Remeslo", an educational program is also provided. In the small hall of the Kariev Theater, a series of meetings and lectures with famous theater critics will take place. The special guest of the program is the outstanding theater director of our time, People's Artist of Russia KAMA GINKAS. Kama Mironovich is a laureate of state and theater awards, including the Golden Mask, the prize named after K. S. Stanislavsky, Mikhail Tumanishvili Prize "For excellence in art", the prize "Triumph", "The Seagull", "Crystal Turandot" and the award after Georgy Tovstonogov.
The founders of the festival are the Ministry of Culture and the Union of Theater Workers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the organizer is KTG TYUZ named after G. Kariev.
