XII International Festival of arts “Philarmoniada” kicks off in Kazan

On December 5-15, the XII International Arts Festival "Philharmoniada" will be held at the Tatar State Philharmonic named after G. Tukay. This is a 10-day concert marathon covering all genres of stage art. Over the years, its guests were famous artists, musicians, performers and groups, such as: Joseph Kobzon, Lev Leschenko, Vladimir Zeldin, Dmitry Nazarov, Daniil Shtoda, Olga Pudova, Alexander F. Sklyar and Trombone Show M. Piganova, Farukh Ruzimatov, Ilya Reznik, Omsk Academic Symphony Orchestra, Musica Viva Chamber Orchestra conducted by Alexander Rudin, Vivaldi Orchestra State Academic Chamber Orchestra conducted by Svetlana Bezrodnaya, State Violin Ensemble of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), State  Volga Russian folk choir after P. M. Miloslavova, Song and Dance Ensemble of the Don Cossacks, Folk Dance Ensemble named after F. Gaskarov, Harlem show (USA), Jordan's Drive (Denmark), Seamus Blake (USA), Fabrizio Bosso (Italy), Tae-Hyun Kim (South Korea), Temur Kvitelashvili (Georgia) and many others. For more than a decade of history, artists from 13 countries and 20 regions of Russia performed at the festival.

The XII International Philharmonic Games festival will open on December 5 (18.30) with the Piano in Jazz program. Kazan will be represented by the People's Artist of Russia, laureate of the European Prize named after Gustav Mahler Daniil Kramer and the RT Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra.

The poster on December 6 (18.30) - literary and musical evening of Valery Barinov and the ensemble "Rhapsody of the Osipov Orchestra."

On December 7 (18.00), the Georgian folklore choir "Mdzlevari" will perform before the public. The collective is the keeper of the tradition of unique Georgian polyphonic singing. The choir’s repertoire includes folklore song and dance compositions (lyric, ritual, and labor songs), church chants, and melodic hymns of various regions of Georgia.

December 8 at 11.00, the musical theater Petersburg Operetta by Sergei Shalagin will present the famous musical fantasy of Yuri Entin and Vasily Livanov “The Bremen Town Musicians”, and at 17.00 - the operetta in 2 acts based on the play by the Spanish playwright Lope de Vega “Dog in the Hay” to the music of Gennady Gladkov.

On December 9 (18.30), as part of the Philharmoniada international art festival, a concert of one of the most striking and distinctive Russian pianists of our time, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Gindin, will be held. The evening program includes works by Frederic Chopin.

December 10 (18.30), Kazan will have a concert - dedication to Leonid Utesov “Thank you, heart!” Performed by the creative tandem of Alexander F. Sklyar and the stars of the national jazz ensemble “Trombone Show” Maxim Piganov.

December 11 (18.30), on the stage of the Tatar Philharmonic is a literary and dance performance of the People’s Artist of Russia, ballerina, theater and film actress Ilze Liepa and leading soloists of Moscow theaters “Russian Ballet and Dull Stories about Dance”.

 

December 12 (18.30, Moscow Artnovi Band musicians will perform soundtracks to Western and domestic cinema masterpieces over the past 50 years. The project includes more than 30 compositions, each of which sounds in the author's arrangement for a specially created video sequence.

On December 13 (18.30), in Kazan, the famous actor,  director of the Satirikon State Theater named after Arkady Raikin, and the People's Artist of Russia Konstantin Raikin will perform a poetic monospectal “Above the booth ...”.

December 14 (18.00), in the festival program - Argentine tango. The winners of the 2019 Argentine Tango World Championships Fernando Rodrigue, Stefania Gomez (Argentina) and the famous Russian tango orchestra Solo Tango Orquesta will present the most sensual dance of the 20th century to the audience this evening.

The festival will end with a concert of the State Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the Republic of Tatarstan. Soloists - Honored Artist of Russia Veronika Dzhioeva and People's Artist of Russia Vasily Gerello.
