The ceremony of presenting state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan, dedicated to the end of the Year of the Theater in Russia, was held today in the Kazan Kremlin.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov handed state awards to cultural and art workers - 19 people were encouraged in total.
As Rustam Minnikhanov noted, “The year of the theater is ending, but the tasks that have been set for the theater world will remain relevant in the future.”
He also reminded that this year the republic has implemented a plan of events dedicated to the Year of the Theater - these are festivals, educational, social and youth projects, anniversary and cultural events.
Traditional festivals took place in Tatarstan with great success - such as Chaliapinsky (the international opera festival named after Fedor Chaliapin), Nurievsky (the international festival of classical ballet named after Rudolf Nuriev), Nauruz and other events in a new format, including the international theater festival "Europe - Russia - Asia. "
“The touring activity of our theaters has also developed widely - they have visited Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, India, Hungary, and the regions of Russia,” said Rustam Minnikhanov. - Tatarstan theaters took part in federal events as part of the Theater Year. Performances took place at the All-Russian Festival of National Theaters in Grozny, at the 8th Theater Olympiad in St. Petersburg. "
In the framework of the cultural and educational project on October 1 of this year, backstage spaces of the leading theaters of the republic were opened for schoolchildren, the President of Tatarstan also recalled.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, the role of non-state theaters has noticeably increased in the region, interesting youth theater projects have appeared.
