On September 21, Kazan will host the V Republican ethno-confessional festival “Mosaic of cultures”

This year it is held as part of the National Costume Day, which will be celebrated for the first time in the republic, and the Kremlin Embankment will be its venue.

The holiday will open at 13.00 with the flash mosaic "Mosaic of Cultures" and a parade of national costumes, its participants will pass from the Spasskaya Tower of the Kazan Kremlin to the main stage on the Kremlin Embankment. The program includes a concert, an exhibition of folk art and crafts of the Republic of Tatarstan, an exposition “Religion as a part of culture”, an Ethnomarket venue, a competition festival “Cuisines of the Tatarstan peoples”, folk games, and much more.

At 17.00, the show will begin showing collections of young ethnic designers from the Komi Republic, Mari El, Tatarstan, Moscow.

From 18.00 to 21.00 the youth ethno-musical platform will work. The main stage of the festival will feature: Zakaria ensemble, representing authentic songs of the Volga peoples in modern sound (Tatarstan), a project by Vera Kozhemanova with authorial jazz interpretations of ancient Chuvash songs (Tatarstan - Chuvash Republic), ethno-rock group Argymak - one of the best Russian bands in their genre, masterfully combining traditional Bashkir music with modern instruments, rhythms and drive (Republic of Bashkortostan)).

We invite everyone to join the parade of national costumes and take part in events within the framework of the V Republican ethno-confessional festival “Mosaic of cultures”.

Organizers: Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Assembly and House of Friendship of the Peoples of Tatarstan, Youth Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan, Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan, Tatarstan Metropolis.

The main message of the events is a demonstration of the unity and good neighborliness of the multinational people of Tatarstan through dialogue and interaction of the cultures of the peoples living in our republic.
