Farid Mukhametshin: “Language is the soul of the people and indicator of the spiritual and moral health of society”

Today in the republic  festive events dedicated to the Day of the Russian language and the 220th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin are under way. Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin laid flowers at the monument to the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin and took part in a solemn event in honor of the Day of the Russian Language, which was held at the Tatar State Opera and Ballet Theater named after Musa Dzhalil.

The flower-laying ceremony was held at the foot of the monument to Alexander Pushkin, installed on the sunny side of the Kazan Opera Theater.  State Councilor of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, deputies of the State Council, representatives of national-cultural autonomies and the public, creative and scientific intelligentsia, writers, teachers, scientists and students took part in the solemn ceremony.

Farid Mukhametshin, addressing the audience, noted that Russian is one of the most common languages ​​in the world. Millions of people speak Russian, understand it and choose to communicate internationally.

 

Congratulating those who gathered on the holiday on behalf of the leadership of the republic, the head of the parliament emphasized a special significance of the Day of the Russian language for  multinational republic. “For us, the Russian language is the national language, the language of interethnic communication, transmitting spirituality and the richest national culture. Language is the soul of the people, an indicator of the spiritual and moral health of society. This is a living organism that is constantly evolving, reflecting the fullness of modern knowledge and cultural achievements of the people. "

Farid Mukhametshin noted the iconic role of Alexander Pushkin in Russian and world literature, in developing   the modern Russian language. “Today, for many,“ to speak Russian ”means“ to speak the language of Pushkin, ”he noted. - His immortal creations unite people of all ages, nationalities and religions, translated into hundreds of world languages. Contemporaries called Pushkin "the sun of Russian poetry." For more than two centuries, his syllable has been considered the “golden measure”, the classical norm of the Russian literary language. ”A whole galaxy of brilliant poets, writers, thinkers grew up on these norms ... Gabdulla Tukay repeatedly called Pushkin his Master. In his own way, he rethought the work of the great Russian the poet and other classics of the Tatar culture: Galimdzhan Ibragimov, Amirkhan Eniki and many others. "

According to the head of the republican parliament, possession of a literate literary language makes people richer. “Our common task is to create conditions for preserving the uniqueness and positive development of Russian, Tatar, all languages ​​of multinational Russia,” said Farid Mukhametshin. “We need to return to the education of children a culture of communication, etiquette, ability to behave in society, basic educational aspects. Today’s holiday undoubtedly, it is also a reminder of the importance of the purity of speech, thoughts and actions. ”

By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, for the great contribution to the development of culture and long-term conscientious work, the honorary title “Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan” was given to Raisa Ravilovna Kashapova - teacher of the Alzhetyevsk College of Music named after F.Z. Labor "Flight" - Cultural and leisure complex named after Lenin, Kazan.

For services in the field of education and long-term conscientious work, Larisa Mikhailovna Zhukovets received the honorary title "Honored Teacher of the Republic of Tatarstan" - a teacher of Russian language and literature of the Secondary School № 119 of the Aviation Building District of Kazan.

Vitaly Valeryevich Skobeyev - painter, member of the regional branch of the All-Russian creative public organization "Union of Artists of Russia" "Union of Artists of Tatarstan" was awarded for a great contribution to the development of fine art and many years of fruitful creative work of the honorary title "Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan".

The event ended with a big festive concert.
