Kazan will celebrate the Day of the Russian language and the 220th anniversary of the birth of A.S. Pushkin
The main celebrations will traditionally take place at the monument to Alexander Pushkin near the Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.Jalil.
At 10.30 a holiday of poetry will begin here, at which famous poets and writers of our republic will perform. At 12.30, flowers will be laid at the monument of A.S.Pushkin. It is planned that the ceremony will be attended by Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, F.Kh.Mukhametshin. Celebrations will continue at the Tatar Theater of Opera and Ballet named after M.Jalil, where at 13.00 a concert will start with the participation of Tatarstan art masters.
