In the same year, a decree was passed to celebrate the Day of Remembrance of Saints Cyril and Methodius on May 11 (May 24 in a new style).

On March 16, 2010, the President of the Russian Federation signed Decree No. 323 “On the celebration of the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture”, the issue of which was determined to be Moscow’s permanent place of celebration. In 2013, at the suggestion of the Patriarchal Council for Culture, the format of the main event was formed - a large choir festival with the participation of professional and amateur choirs.
