Dear Colleagues!
Please accept my warmest and sincere congratulations on your professional holiday - International Museum Day.
It is very important that we have places where you can learn about the past and the present, touch the world of art, but more importantly, that there are people - real devotees and creators for whom work is a true vocation. And even you celebrate your professional holiday with the action “Museum Night”, which is beloved by many Tatarstanians, delighting its visitors with bright programs.
Our republic can be proud of unique museums of history and culture: state, municipal and private, of a wide variety of subjects. All of them are the custodians of the richest heritage and social memory of mankind, conduct serious scientific and educational work. Staying true to its main mission, museums today are developing in accordance with modern realities and needs of visitors, mastering and introducing new technologies, implementing interesting and in-demand projects. Last year, Kazan residents and guests of the capital received the updated Modern Art Gallery and the Gabdulla Tukai Literary Museum as a gift. Very soon, on the basis of the memorial apartment-museum, the Tatar Book House will open, reconstruction will be carried out at the Salikh Saydashev Museum and in the Lenino-Kokushkino Museum-Reserve, a new exhibition will be opened at the Memorial Museum of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. The number of joint exhibition projects organized with federal museums is also increasing. The fact that this work resonates in the hearts of the people indicates an increase in attendance rates: in 2018 more than six and a half million people visited museums of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Dear museum staff! Thank you for your dedication to the profession, high professionalism and great responsibility to the present, past and future. On this momentous day, I wish you health, inexhaustible energy, new creative projects and well-being!
