The XV International Festival of Muslim Cinema opened in Kazan

The XV Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema has opened in the capital of Tatarstan. The opening ceremony of the anniversary film festival was held on April 24 on  the scene of the Tatar State Academic Theater named after G.Kamal. The festive event traditionally began with walking   of Russian and foreign cinema stars on the red carpet.

The theater and film actress, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Yulia Rutberg and the actor of the Kamalovsky Theater, People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Iskander Khairullin were presenters of  the opening ceremonies of KMFMK. The celebration began with the showing  of the Kazan Film Festival awards on the theater stage. After that, on behalf of the President of Tatarstan,  Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council “Milli Shura” of the World Tatar Congress Vasil Shaikhraziev welcomed the guests. He noted that the Kazan Film Festival every year expands the geography of participants. “This is a worthy event, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to organize and hold such festivals,” he said.
