All - Russia Derzhavin festival will take place in Kazan and Laishevo

From July 13 to 15, all-Russia Derzhavin festival takes place in Kazan and Laishevo.
The well-known poets from Russia and Tatarstan will take place in a festival. Creative meetings with poet, editor-in-chief of “Novaya gazeta” Oleg Khlebnikov, poet and critic, editor-in-chief of “Neva” magazine Natalia Grantzeva, representatives of writer’s organizations from the Volga region: Bashkortostan, Udmurtia, Mari E, Chuvashia are to take place within a framework of the event.
For the first time, in Kazan, a well-known poet and organizer of International Voloshin festival in Koktebe Andrei Korovin and not less known musician Alexandr Alexandrov (stage nickname Fagot ) will present literature – musical program «Korovin and Fagot» on verses of Gavril Derzhavin and Silver age poets.
The guests of the festival will enjoy a wide excursion program with visiting the Kazan Kremlin, RT National museum, memorable Derzhavin sights.
In 2010, Literature Fund of Russia, RT Ministry of culture, RT Union of writers, Head of RT Laishev municipal region aimed at eternalizing the memory of the great poet and state figure and further progressing of multinational literature of Russia founded All-Russia literature award named after G. Derzhavin, and a decision was adopted on holding annual All-Russian Derzhavin Festival of poetry in Kazan and at the poet’s motherland in RT Laishev muncipal region
