Today, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Russian Federation Ihab Ahmad Talaat Nasr.
The plenipotentiary minister, head of the Trade Bureau of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Moscow Nasser Hamed, the second secretary of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Russia Osman Ahmed Magdi arrived in the delegation to the Ministry of Culture. The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Yulia Adgamova and specialists from relevant departments.
The parties discussed issues of holding mutual Days of Culture and exchange tours of theaters in Egypt and Tatarstan. Another important topic is the possibility of internships for the staff of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan in the National Library and Archives of the Arab Republic of Egypt to learn about the experience of Egyptian specialists in the restoration, digitization and scientific use of ancient books and documents.
Currently, Tatarstan filmmakers are taking part in the International Asian Cinema Festival (SAFF) in Sharm el-Sheikh. The opening of the film forum was held this weekend. Two Tatarstan films - “Baigal” by Ildar Yagafarov and “Something from Her Diary” by Salavat Yuzeev are included in the competition program of the festival. Two more films - the documentary film by Ilshat Rakhimbay “Complicated Pattern” and the film “Overtime” (project “KinoMavlid-2018”) will be shown as part of a non-competitive program.
At various festival venues, the State Ensemble of Folk Music of the Republic of Tatarstan will perform under the leadership of Honored Artist of Russia, People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Aydar Faizrahmanov.
2020 has been declared the cross Year of humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Egypt. In Russia and Egypt, they have always shown and are showing interest in each other’s culture and spiritual heritage. "The range of areas of cooperation in the field of culture between Tatarstan and Egypt can be completely different, starting with classical art and ending with modern performance," said the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova.
