Dear friends!

I sincerely congratulate You on all –Russia Day of libraries – a professional festive of library employees and all those who love a book.
Libraries since last are the centers of preserving culture and enjoy the great significance in a social –political life of the society since books –national wealth of each nation, the important medium of keeping and passing information .
In the Republic of Tatarstan, within the framework of implementing a program of developing librarianship with computer equipment is carried out step by step, automated system of servicing is introduced, general electronic catalogue of the Republic Tatarstan is developing.
Presently, over 40 percent of general accessible libraries are switched to Internet .
Thanks to fast mastering of new technologies, the libraries today become a notable element of information infrastructure, providing open access as to printed so to the electronic carriers .
Our libraries, whose activities, first of all, are aimed at spiritual education and cultural enrichment of man and are the most visited centers of communication and leisure. Regional ethnography and history, ecology and patriotic education, health and family – this is only a small list of themes on which the cognitive displays are arranged, the contests and quizzes are held , book collections are compiled in every library.
I am confident that thanks to experience and professionalism of librarians not one generation of educated people has grown up in our republic.

On this Day I would like to express acknowledgement to each librarian of limitless loyalty to the profession. I wish You new creative achievements, successes , thankful readers and let your work bring joy and satisfaction!
I wish to all lovers of books an unquenchable interest to reading and joy of communicating with a book.
