Exhibition of works by Baki Urmanche opens in Tretyakovsky gallery

Exhibition of works by Baki Urmanche has opened in a State Tretyakovsky gallery at the Krymsky val. It is dedicated to 115th anniversary of an outstanding Tatar painter. General director of the Tretyakovsky gallery Irina Lebedeva, RT first deputy minister of culture Irada Aupova, deputy Plenipotentiary representative of RT in RF Almaz Faizullin, director of RT Museum of fine arts Rozalia Nurgalieva and many others took part in a ceremony of exhibition opening.
Over 120 works by Baki Urmanche are presented in the halls of Tretyakovsky gallery from the collection of Kazan and Moscow museums, private funds. The viewers enjoy the possibility to get acquainted with Urmanche not only as a painter but graphic and sculptor. The exhibition is open until July 29.
Irina Lebedeva, opening the ceremony, stressed that still in Soviet times Tretyakovsky gallery has began an active work on representing the works of painters from the Soviet republics in its halls. «We even now actively are cooperating with the regions, present the most different material, which is in art collections of our country», she added.
«Today, showing the works by Urmanche, - general director of the gallery continued, - we attempt to say about difficulties of art evolution of new generation of masters, having come in art life already after post-revolution time when new possibilities appeared for numerous quests. Baki Urrmanche very vividly represents that period. Western-European and Russian traditions have merged in his works, and national roots watered the creativity of the artist for duration of dozens years of his intense activity And this interesting alloy produced a surprising result.
Irada Ayupova on behalf of the RT Government thanked the management of Tretyakovsky gallery for arranging the exhibition. «The Exhibition turned out to a very delicate, thought-out. Thank you for professionalism», - she stressed. «Tomorrow, festive events connected with Tatarstan would continue in halls of Tretyakovsky gallery – the exhibition of amazing works by Nikolai Feshin is to be open.
Irada Khafizyanovna mentioned that despite complicated life circumstances, Baki Urmanche always aspired to his Muse, aspired to find himself in creativity, he was a multifaceted artist, the attendees of the exhibition may see it. Last 30 years of his quite long life, he spent in Kazan, and all these years he remained maitre of cultural life of the republic .
By words of Almaz Faizullin, opening of the exhibition of Baki Urmanche for cultural life of Moscow, especially for compatriots, Tatars, natives of the Republic Tatarstan means the great holyday.
Baki Idrisovich Urmanche – founder of Tatar picture art, the first Tatar painter of such a large scale talent, painter, graphic, sculptor, monumentalist, theatrical artist, having managed to bring a priceless contribution in developing of the main kinds of picture art of Tatarstan.
