From December 15, at the box office of the Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.Jalil, as well as on the website “Kassir.ru” and authorized representatives, tickets for performances of the XXXVII International Opera Festival named after F.I. Chaliapin will be on sale, which will be held from February 1 to February 23, 2019.
The festival program will consist of 10 performances and 2 gala concerts. The festival will open the premiere of the Tsar's Bride opera by N.Rimsky-Korsakov. The new production by director Mikhail Panjavidze will be designed in a classical manner, the audience will have a technological stage design solution (production designer - Harry Hummel, Germany), bright stylized costumes (costume designer - Nina Gurlo, Belarus). The main parts in the performances on February 1 and 2 will be performed by: Mikhail Kazakov (the Bolshoi Theater of Russia, M. Jalil TASTOiB), Mikhail Svetlov (USA) as Sobakin; Kazan soloists Gulnora Gatina, Venera Protasova, Elsa Islamova (the party of the “royal bride” of Martha); Larisa Andreeva (K.S. Stanislavsky and V.I.Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Musical Theater.), Ekaterina Sergeeva (Mariinsky Theater) as Lyubasha; Stanislav Trifonov (Bolshoi Theater of Belarus), Maxim Aniskin (Germany) as Gryazny; the soloist of the New Opera Bogdan Volkov, the soloist of the Mariinsky Theater Sergey Semishkur in the part of Lykov and others. The performance features choir artists (choirmaster Lyubov Draznina), a mimic ensemble, a theater orchestra, and conductor director Arif Dadashev (Moscow).
A block of operas representing masterpieces of Russian classics will be continued with the performances of Eugene Onegin (February 5) and The Queen of Spades (February 8) by P. Tchaikovsky, the main parts of which will be performed by the soloists of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia Igor Golovatenko (Onegin), Anna Nechaeva (Tatiana Larina), Tatyana Erastova (Countess), Oleg Dolgov (German), Maria Lobanova (Lisa). On February 13, on the birthday of F.I. Shalyapin, M. Mussorgsky’s opera Boris Godunov with Mikhail Kazakov (Boris), soloists of The New Opera by Vladimir Kudashev (Pimen) and Artem Golubev (Impostor Gregory Otrepyev), soloists of the Mikhailovsky Theater after Ekaterina Egorova (Marina Mnishek) and others.
The program will include performances of foreign composers - “Madame Butterfly” (February 4) and “Turandot” (February 11) by G. Puccini, “Aida” (February 15), “Nabucco” (February 18) and “La Traviata” (February 20) G. Verdi. In the party of the geisha Chio-Chio-san of the play “Madame Butterfly”, the audience will hear the soloist of the TASTOI and B named after M. Jalil Gulnor Gatina, lead singer of the New Opera, Khachatur Badalyan debuts as Pinkerton. Zoya Tzererina, soloist of the Kazan opera, Prince Calaf - Mariinsky Theater soloist Ahmed Agadi will perform in the title part of the opera Turandot. Leading roles in the opera Aida in Kazan will be performed by soloists of the Moscow Musical Theater named after KS Stanislavsky and Vl.I. Nemirovich-Danchenko Ksenia Dudnikova (Amneris), Nikolai Erokhin (Radames) and Maria Pahar (Aida). The performance of the German singer Boris Statsenko (Nebuchadnezzar) and the soloist of the New Opera, Victoria Yarovaya (Fenen), are expected in Nabucco. In Traviata, viewers will hear Svetlana Moskalenko (Mikhailovsky Theater), Khachatur Badalyan and Boris Statsenko. Renat Salavatov (M. Dzhalil TASTOiB), Marco Boemi (Italy), Stefano Romani (Italy), Vasily Valitov (Moscow), Arif Dadashev (Moscow) will perform at the conductor's stand.
The program of the festival will be completed with two gala concerts with the participation of invited stars and soloists of T.G.Jalil Tatar Academic State Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
