The 5th International Festival “Music around us” starts in Kazan

On December 14, the V International Festival “Music around us” starts in Kazan. The program of the winter session of the festival, held by the Sforzando Performing Arts Development Foundation with the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Vladimir Spivakov International Charitable Foundation and the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Preserve, will include creative meetings and master classes by  outstanding musicians, as well as a number of concerts.

The first concert of the festival will be held on December 15 at the State Grand Concert Hall of the Republic of Tatarstan named after S. Saydashev. The concert will be attended by the famous pianist, winner of more than 20 international competitions Sofia Gulyak; a talented clarinetist, whose name is among the ten best clarinetists of the younger generation, Arthur Naziullin, as well as the Sforzando youth orchestra (conducted by Yevgeny Sakmarov, artistic director Daniyar Sokolov). The program includes piano works by Bach, Handel, Rachmaninov, Ravel, orchestral works “The Seasons” by A. Piazzolla, “Hungarian Dances” by I. Brams and others. The concert starts at 18.00.

The festival “Music around us” is a cultural and educational project of classical music, the program of which traditionally includes concert performances with the participation of young musicians and famous creators, as well as master classes by famous performers. The festival has been held since 2014, during which time outstanding musicians from Italy, Germany, Switzerland, China, Poland and Russia took part in concert programs and master classes. Concert performances were held in the SGCH after S.Saydashev, the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Preserve, in the parks and squares of Kazan and in the open space of Sviyazhsk Island.
