On November 3, the Elabuga State Museum-Preserve joined the «Night of the Arts» all-Russian action. Four museum sites offered fascinating interactive programs, excursions and master classes for visitors.
The program «What a spinner, such is a shirt on her ...» was held at the Exhibition Hall. Its participants learned about various variations of the archaic women's traditional costume of the Tula region, Ryazan, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Kursk and Belgorod regions at the exhibition “The red dress is seen beyond the river” from the stock collection of the Kulikovo Pole museum-reserve.
The staff of the Museum-Reserve acquainted everyone with the technology of fabrication and dyeing of fabrics, taught them to weave cloth on a real loom, to iron and fold things into the chest, as our grandmothers did. And the museum masters held workshops on making dolls-bells and rattles.
The Museum of Contemporary Ethnic Art presented the program «Art Unites». It began with the master classes «Golden Autumn in Fur» by Marina Ammosova, a teacher at the Children's Art School No. 2.
A retro-evening “Born in the USSR” took place on the second floor of the museum, which will continue with a tour of the exhibition “Masterpieces of printed graphics of the Soviet period”. At the same time, there were master classes on ebru - the art of drawing on water, which were conducted by employees of the museum.
The interactive workshops greeted the guests with the program «Practice makes perfect», during which workshops on clay modeling, weaving, painting on wood, making birch bark and dolls amulets were held.
The staff of the Silver Age Library on this night talked about the art of the word. Here was the program "To burn hearts by word!".
Visitors were offered to try themselves in storytelling, tell fortunes from the books of Omar Khayyam "Rubai" and Leo Tolstoy "War and Peace", and also show their skills on a patch of linguistic games. For lovers of poetry was organized "Poetic Designer", and the little ones were waiting for the finger theater.
More than 700 people from Yelabuga, Naberezhnye Chelny, Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Zainsk, Bugulma, Yekaterinburg took part in the «Night of the Arts» event.
