The exhibition «The multicolor of Tatar national culture» opens in Lisbon

On November 3, 2018, the First Slavic School of the City of Lisbon opened the exhibition «The Multicolor of Tatar National Culture» from the funds of the Elabuga State Museum-Reserve. This exhibition was a continuation of a series of events within the framework of the Days of Tatar Culture in Portugal. The event was held with the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov, Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and Rossotrudnichestvo.

The guests were welcomed by the head of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Portugal, Vladimir Luzgin, the adviser of the Russian Embassy in Portugal, Oleg Senchenko, the general director of the Elabuga State Museum Reserve, the deputy chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan, Gulzada Rudenko, who  presented a picture by Marat Migranov's «Su Builup (along the river)» to the school of the EGMZ newspaper, and  Deputy Director of the First Slavic School Lesya Kovalchuk.

Numerous pupils of the school, their parents and teachers who were present at the opening of the exhibition responded with warmth to the presented exposition.

One of the participants of the opening was Nina Gerra - a Portuguese translator who presented a book with translations of Marina Tsvetaeva's poems to Portuguese to the Yelabuga Museum-Reserve. In turn, Gulzada Rudenko invited her to take part in the International Tsvetaevskiy readings.

The ceremony was decorated with the performance of Dilara Mirovaeva, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, teacher of the Elabuga College of Culture and Arts, and national singer, master of playing the national instruments, singer Talgat Zaripov.

The exhibition «The Multicolor of Tatar National Culture» opens to the visitor a palette of bright and diverse culture of the Tatar people. The exhibition features more than 60 works of art that reflect the national culture, customs, traditions and peculiarities of the life of the Tatar people. The authors of these works - participants of art projects of the Elabuga State Museum-Reserve - honored artists from Tatarstan and Bashkortostan. The works have been created as a result of international art symposia on the themes of «Lullaby - Bishk zhyry», «Tales of Love», «Rites and Customs», «Sacred Folk Songs».
