“And the day lasts longer than a century ...” is one of the most significant works by Chingiz Aitmatov. The combination of several temporal and artistic layers, a combination of fiction, parables and realism, the famous legend of mankurts, the story of the famous white camel and her descendant Karanar - all this makes the novel relevant today. This year, the world community celebrates the 90th anniversary of the birth of the classic Kyrgyz prose. Kamal Theater also did not stand aside. The director of the performance, Ilgiz Zayniev, removed many storylines in order to focus on the main thing and tell the story of human destinies in difficult times. Of course, the legend of mankurts will also come to life in the performance - a formidable warning about the danger of forgetting their roots.
