The project "Filmbattle: Kazan-Ufa" is preparing for launch in the municipal districts of Tatarstan
From October 1 to December 27, in the framework of the project “Filmbattle: Kazan-Ufa”, a cross-show of almanacs will be held - programs of short films produced by the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Bashkortostan. The project has been initiated by the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization for the Support of Film Projects, the Time of Cinema Organization (Kazan) and the MidPoint Film School (Ufa) with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the State Unitary Enterprise RB Film Studio Bashkortostan.
The goal of the project: to introduce mass audience to the regional cinemas, expanding the geography of showing short films, supporting the youth cinema of the two republics. One of the conditions of the project is the audience vote for the best film.
For 2.5 months, there is a parallel screening of the Tatarstan films program in cinemas in Bashkortostan, Bashkir films - in Tatarstan cinemas. A month before summing up - in November - an online communication session takes place (interactive communication between two studios: Ufa-Kazan) with a discussion and an open vote. On the eve of the International Day of Cinema (December 27), the winner is determined and a rolling almanac of short films “Kinobatl. Winners”. Duration of the main program - 1.5 hours. For an interactive session - 1 hour + 30 minutes discussion.
Online voting is planned on the following resources: “KinoMayak” (Ufa), “Real time” (Kazan).
The presentation with a test vote in Kazan was held on September 15 on the embankment of Lake Kaban. Then the films “The End of the Game” by Kazan director Maxim Shvachko and Egegey by Ufa director Timur Ganeyev competed for the title of the best film according to the results of the audience vote. As a result, friendship has won.
Later, in preparation for the Kinobattle: Kazan-Ufa, a master-class by the Kazan film director Rustam Rashitov was held. Colleagues and recruits of the Ufa film school studied the direction of cinema, learned all the stages of film production, figured out how to conduct casting, what are the experts in the film industry, and who performs what functions, and most importantly, what is the director's task. As planned by the organizers, a cycle of Skype sessions between Tatarstan and Bashkortostan directors, creative meetings with viewers and cross-master classes online will take place over a period of 2.5 months against the background of spectator shows and voting.

The project will cover more than 30 sites in Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, hold more than 50 sessions in each region.
