The National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan will host a meeting of the literary salon dedicated to writer Kamil Karimov

On October 3, at 14:00, at the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, a meeting of the Literary Salon dedicated to the writer's work, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, a laureate of the Tatar Republic State Tatar Republic Kamil Karimov will be held.

Karimov Kamil Adgamovich was born in 1950 in the village of Shali in the Pestrechinsky district of Tatarstan. After graduating from high school, he worked in the Tatmeliovodstroi Trust, then as a water well driller in Kazan. His working biography in his young years was subsequently reflected in the works "Comrade" ("Hourglass", 2000), "Sakau kuke" ("Cuckoo Cuckoo", 2003) and others.

In 1976 Karimov entered directing faculty of the Kazan Institute of Culture. After his graduation he worked as a correspondent for the newspaper Yash Leninchy (now Sabantuy). In his further creative biography - work as an employee of the Bureau of Propaganda of Fiction at the Union of Writers of Tatarstan,  responsible editor of the literary almanac "Idel",  executive secretary of the magazine "Chayan". Since 2001 he is leading editor of the prose department of the magazine "Kazan utlary".

The first collection of short stories by K. Karimov "Undurt yashtә" ("At the age of fourteen") was published in 1981. In the following years, collections of his works were published: "Bokhetle Keshe" ("Happy Man", 1984), "Vyagyade" ("The Oath of Fidelity", 1985), "Kulgyade tlke bar" ("Fox in the Shadow", 1990), Үzenya kara "(" Look at yourself ", 1997),," Yen "(" The Game ", 2010), etc.

In 2018, for the books "Karurmanda kara pesi" ("Black kitten in the forest") and "Igezklyur yoldyzlygy" ("Constellation of twins") Kamil Karimov was awarded the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan named after G. Tukay.

K. Karimov is known not only as an author of art works, but also as a master of an artistic word, a variety artist, author and presenter of many television programs.

At the meeting of the Literary Salon the issues will be discussed related to the study of creativity by Kamil Karimov.
