Two composers from Kazan became laureates of the All-Russian competition "AVANTI"

Moscow has summed up the results of the First All-Russian Contest of Composers "AVANTI". The organizer of the contest was the Union of Composers of Russia. The contest was supported by the Grants Fund of the President of the Russian Federation.

The main objectives of the "AVANTI" competition were the development and strengthening of composer organizations in the regions, the stimulation of composer creativity and the promotion of the works by Russian composers.

Applications have been accepted in five nominations: a solo instrumental composition; composition for chamber ensemble; composition for the voice with instrumental accompaniment; an essay involving ethnic instruments. In total, more than 200 applications were received from the members of the Union of Composers of Russia from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Nizhny Novgorod, Astrakhan, Saratov, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Chelyabinsk, Surgut, Kaliningrad and other cities.

Among the jury there were famous Russian composers and musicians: Slonimsky S.M. (Chairman), Rybnikov A.L. Tchaikovsky A.V, Kalimullin R.F. Zaderatsky V.V. Farhadov R.Ya.

Young composers, members of the Union of Composers of Tatarstan Elena Anisimova and Elmir Nizamov have won prizes in two nominations. E. Anisimova became a laureate of the III degree in the nomination "Solo instrumental composition" with the work "Tuba-boom" for tuba, E. Nizamov became a laureate of the II degree in the nomination "Composition for chamber ensemble" with the work "DIXI" for a quartet of saxophones, pianoforte and drums.

September 30, 2018, at the Small Hall of the Moscow State P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Tchaikovsky will host the final concert of the contest, at which the compositions will be laureates. The performers of the compositions will be the Moscow Ensemble of Contemporary Music, the Youth Opera Program of the Bolshoi Theater, Glazunov-quartet, laureates of international and All-Russian competitions.

The concert will be recorded by JSC "Firm Melody" for further international distribution. Works-laureates will be published by the publishing house "Composer".
