August 27 in Russia celebrate the Day of Russian Cinema

Dear filmmakers, cinema workers and industry veterans!

On the Day of Russian Cinema, I express my gratitude to everyone who is involved in the motion picture arts, who instills love for cinema to the younger generation and those who are involved in the development of the film industry in the Republic of Tatarstan in state institutions and departments.

Cinema is an effective tool for educating patriotism, implanting moral values through love for one's native land, pride in the history of the multinational people of Tatarstan, identity and diversity of cultural traditions.

Thanks to measures of state support, the film industry of the Republic of Tatarstan is progressively developing: feature, documentary and animation films are being created; thousands of spectators fill the cinemas of the republic, having the opportunity to touch the cinema novelties even in remote areas; A modern system of promoting films of Tatarstan production to the international level is being tested.

A special pride of Tatarstan is the Kazan International Muslim Film Festival, which since the first days of its existence has become a platform for maintaining a dialogue between civilizations, cultures and religions, where humanism, tolerance and political correctness are popularized through cinema.

I wish new creative achievements, grateful spectators, international recognition of the achievements of the Tatarstan cinema. I thank you for your devotion to the cinema arts.
