All-Russian forum "The Time of Cinema" starts on September 3 in Kazan

From September 3 - 6, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, an annual educational forum "The Time of Cinema" will take place in Kazan. The event will be held in parallel with the 10th Kazan International Festival of Amateur Youth and Children's Cinema at three venues: a cinema hall of the Cultural and Leisure Complex of V.I. Lenin, Kazan State Institute of Culture (master classes), show-room of the Higher School of Journalism and Media Communications (KFU).

The opening of the forum will take place on September 3 at the Lenin's Palace of Culture. The program will feature the following sections: "AvtorTochkaYa" (everything you need to know for a young filmmaker about copyright), "Generation P" (film and media), "Work in Progress". The works at the stage of rough editing and post-production will be presented here.

The expert commission will include a film critic, cultural expert, TV host, journalist, teacher, program director of the Moscow International Film Festival Kirill Razlogov, program director of the Sochi Film Festival Nina Kochelyaeva, film distributor (Iran) Alireza Shakhrokhi, director, producer, screenwriter, actor, composer Yury Bykov, film critic , the curator of the Kinotavr program Irina Lyubarskaya, the coordinator of the projects of the agency for the promotion of films for the film festivals "FestAgent" Olga Bazhenova,  head of the direction "KARO.Art" Max Gorbov.

To increase the usefulness index of the film festival and forum, a new educational section "AvtoR.Ya" is being introduced, which will cover issues of legislation and copyright. The lawyer, the adviser of the Russian Federation of 2nd class, the member of Association of lawyers of Russia Vyacheslav Ryabkov will tell about it.

Also, the discussion program "Shah and Mat in Cinema" will be presented - about obscene vocabulary in the film industry. Participation in the discussion will take cinematographers, a lawyer in the field of cinema, producers, festival managers, journalists.

Within the framework of the forum the following master classes will be held:

- "The power of promotion", in addition to reviewing the festivals, all participants will receive useful skills and knowledge about copyright, necessary documentation and rules of international festival management. "Three aggregate states of the director." The director, actress and screenwriter Daria Charusha will share her experience.

- "Shoot on the phone!" With this motivation for all beginning directors will make Boris Guts, who shot on iPhone7 his feature film "Bassoon", which entered the contest program of the film festival "Window to Europe."

- "Attempt at writing". A unique opportunity to see the starting point of talented masters, as well as to follow the path of development of Russian cinema from the sixties of the last century to zero. The program includes the debut (diploma, course) works of famous directors. The master class will be opened by director Yury Bykov.

"Producer. Beginning". On the legal basis of the producer's activities, producer Svetlana Bukharaeva will tell the professional start.

A special prize from the forum will be awarded the best debut work. Young filmmakers will receive a certificate for the rental document and the opportunity to enter the festival almanac "The Time of Cinema in Kazan".
