State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan will open a new 53rd concert season with Edvard Radzinsky

September 26 in the State Historical Museum named after S. Saidashev The State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan, under the direction of the People's Artist of Russia, artistic director and chief conductor of Alexander Sladkovsky Orchestra, will open the 53rd concert season.

At the opening of the season 2018/2019 with a unique theatrical performance "The Mystery of Mozart" will perform an outstanding writer, playwright and historian Edward Radzinsky. In the play fragments of Symphony No. 41 "Jupiter", Requiem, Symphony No. 40, fantasies for piano in C minor, concert arias for soprano with orchestra and overtures to operas "Abduction from the Seraglio" and "Don Juan" by W. Mozart will sound. The play "Mozart's Mystery" was written by Edvard Radzinsky for Italian Radio and Television, and staged at a theater in Naples, it was so liked by the author so much that he allowed to play it only to himself.

The Russian premiere of the play took place at the Festival of the Russian National Orchestra in the Concert Hall after Tchaikovsky, and repeatedly performed in Moscow with the orchestra of S.F. Svetlanov, with orchestras in Tel Aviv, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and St. Petersburg. Premiere performance of Edvard Radzinsky with the State Symphonic Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan will become a truly sensational event for the guests and residents of Kazan and will serve as a bright prologue to the new 53rd concert season.

This year, listeners are expected to perform more than 20 premieres – K.M. von Weber Concerto for clarinet and orchestra No. 2 in E flat major, S. Slonimsky Symphony No. 33, D. Shostakovich Sonata for viola, A. Rybnikov Symphony No. 6, J. Iber Concerto for flute and orchestra, K. Penderecki Concerto for violin and viola and orchestra, I. Stravinsky Concerto for violin and orchestra, G. Mahler Symphony No. 7, G. Mahler Symphony No. 8 for soloists, choir and orchestra, as well as premieres of Tatar composers at the Miras festival.

One of the significant events of the new season of the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan is its own subscription to the Moscow Philharmonic for the season 2018/2019. The personal subscription of GSO RT numbered 17 included three concerts that will be held in Moscow in January, February and March 2019. The orchestra will perform works by B. Bartók, G. Mahler, R. Strauss, A. Bruckner, C. Debussy, C. Saint-Saens, H. Berlioz. Soloists will be musicians with world names - Reno Cappuson, Mario Brunello, Jean-Yves Thibode.

8 years of conducting the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan is celebrated this year by the People's Artist of Russia, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the GSO RT Alexander Sladkovsky:

Performances by the orchestra will take place not only in Kazan, but also in Irkutsk at the 13th International Music Festival of Denis Matsuev "Stars at Lake Baikal", in St. Petersburg at  the Mariinsky Theater's Concert Hall, in Tambov at the 30th International Music Festival named after S. Rakhmaninov, in Almetyevsk, and also in Moscow - at the newly opened concert stage of the Zaryadie Park, in the Concert Hall named after P.I. Tchaikovsky and in the Grand Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. Tchaikovsky. In the 2018/2019 season, the State Symphony Orchestra will give three concerts in China, participate in four concerts in France at the world-famous La Roche d'Anteron piano music festival and perform at two of the largest annual classical music festivals in France and Japan - La Folle Journée. "
