The VII Festival of Sacred Music " The Music of Faith" ("Imanmony") will be held in the Republic of Tatarstan, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the State Big Concert Hall named after S.Saidashev. A special feature of the festival concept is organization of thematic concerts dedicated to the music of different faiths in the largest tourist and pilgrimage centers of Tatarstan - on the island of Sviyazhsk, in Kazan and Bolgar. Entrance to events is free.
The forum was established in 2012 to revive and popularize a spiritual musical culture, unite people of different faiths, familiarize a wide range of listeners with the treasures of the world music art, and also strengthen the image of Tatarstan as a center for tolerance and peaceful cooperation of people of different nationalities and religions.
The opening of the festival will take place on the island of Sviyazhsk on June 12. On this day there will be two concerts - at the Museum of History of Sviyazhsk (at 11.00) and the Cathedral of the Theotokos "All the Afflicted Joy" (at 12.00). Participation in them will be accepted by the State String Quartet of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chamber Orthodox Choir "Transfiguration", ensemble of sacred music "Blagovest", State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Tatarstan, Quartet of the Sviyazhskiy Bogoroditsa-Uspensky Monastery and Metropolitan Choir of the Kazan-Bogoroditsky Monastery.
June 26, at 19.00, the Cannon Court of the Kazan Kremlin will host a gala concert of the festival "Music of Faith". The program of the evening includes the spiritual music of different religions and songs of the peoples of the world in original arrangements. The State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Chamber Orchestra "New Music", Radik Salimov, Alina Sharipzhanova (vocals), Ilgiz Shakhraziev (vocals), EthnoArt Ethnic Drums School, Alexandra Boziyants (duduk), Anna Blagova (Tibetan bowls) will take part in the concert.
The final concert of the festival will be held July 21 in Bolgar. Famous Tatarstan performers and collectives will take part in the event in the open air. In the program - music of Islam, Tatar folk songs, author's works.
