The National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan will host a presentation of a new novel by Guzel Jakhina

June 8, 2018 at 17.00 in the Big  Reading Room of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan a meeting with the writer Guzel Jakhina will take place.

Guzel Yakhina is known for her novel "Zuleikha opens her eyes". This was the debut of the writer, for which she received such awards as "The Big Book", "Clear Glade", "Book of the Year." At the moment,  the  work is under way  on a film on this novel.

Guzel Yakhina presents her new novel "My Children", which already appeared on the shelves of bookstores. The novel tells about the Volga Germans, about the fate of the German autonomy on the Volga in 1918-1941. "My Children" is a novel that continues with the author's favorite theme of an amazing plexus of ethnic groups, cultures, peoples, human destinies. In the book, the mythical intersects with historical reality.

This will be the second meeting at the National Library with the writer. During the creative meeting, Guzel Yakhina will talk about her new novel, answer the readers' questions of interest, and also sign her books to those who wish.
