The festival of poetry of the peoples of Russia "Atal Asamache" was held in the Republic of Chuvashia

The festival is dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the enlightener of the Chuvash people, the patriarch of Chuvash culture Ivan Yakovlev and the 128th anniversary of the great Chuvash poet Konstantin Ivanov.

For two days the republic became a literary capital for poets and prose writers from Moscow, the Republic of Tatarstan, Mari El, Mordovia, Dagestan, the Komi Republic and the Ulyanovsk region.

The event was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of Chuvashia with the assistance of the Chuvash National Foundation named after M. Sespelya, the Chuvash National Museum, the Literary Museum after  K.W. Ivanov; The I.Ya. Yakovlev  museum at  the Chelyabinsk State Pedagogical University, the Chuvash national library, the memorial complex of the pilot-cosmonaut A.G. Nikolaev, the Republican House of Friendship of Peoples and the Chuvash State Academic Drama Theater  after  K. Ivanov.

Welcoming the guests of the festival, Elena Chernova, Deputy Minister of Culture for Nationalities and Archive Affairs of the Chuvash Republic, wished poets and lovers of poetry health, creative ideas, success, inspiration and new literary masterpieces.

People's poet of the Republic of Tatarstan, the laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation, the laureate of the Republic of Tatarstan Republic Tatarstan Award, the member of the Culture Council under the President of Russia, Honored Worker of Culture of Chuvashia, laureate of the Mikhail Sespel International Award Renat Haris, congratulated all present on the first poetry festival peoples of Russia. "I am glad that artists of the word from multinational Russia gathered in the Chuvash land today. There are many young people here. I want to believe that poetry today for mankind is not just the illumination and delight of the soul, but the highest way of expressing thoughts, feelings, the personality of the author himself.

The People's poet of the Republic of Tatarstan, the laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan named after G. Tukay, the laureate of the Republican Prize of the Tatarstan Komsomol named after Musa Jalil, the honored worker of culture of Tatarstan Robert Minnullin shared his impressions about the first festival. He told that he accepted the invitation with pleasure and came to Chuvashia without hesitation. "Thanks to the Head of the Chuvash Republic Mikhail Ignatiev, the Ministry of Culture of Chuvashia, the Chuvash National Foundation named after M. Sespel for holding such an important large-scale event," the guest thanked.
