In Naberezhnye Chelny the festival of puppet theaters "Workhorse" has opened May 14, 2018, Monday
On May 13, in the building of the Naberezhnye Chelny State Puppet Theater, the opening ceremony of the 6th International Workers' Puppet Theater Festival took place.
The festival participants are famous theater groups from 21 cities of Russia and the near abroad: Volgograd, Dimitrovgrad, Kstovo, Samara, Tambov, Surgut, Vladimir, Magnitogorsk, Ozersk, Tula, Togliatti, Kazan and Buinsk (Republic of Tatarstan), Saransk (Republic of Mordovia), Nazran (Republic of Ingushetia), Yoshkar-Ola (Republic of Mari El), Izhevsk (Udmurt Republic), Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan), Cheboksary (Chuvash Republic), Makhachkala (Republic of Dagestan), Aktobe (Republic of Kazakhstan).
Members of the festival's expert committee were in full strength at the event :
- Victor Lvovich Shriman - Chairman of the Expert Council of the Prize Deserved Figure of Arts of RSFSR, M.M. Korolyov, vice-president of the International Theater Festival "KukArt", member of the jury of the national theatrical award "Golden Mask", member of the commission on theaters of the puppets of the Union of theatrical figures of the Russian Federation, theater critic, actor, pedagogue (Nizhny Novgorod);
- Niyaz Raufovich Iglamov - theater critic, head of the literary and dramatic part of the Tatar State Academic Thetare named after G. Kamal, Executive Secretary of the Public Council under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, member of the Expert Council of the National Theater Award and the Golden Mask Festival (Kazan);
- Dina G. Davletshina - theater critic, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, member of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation (Ufa);
- Anna Vladimirovna Konstantinova - theater critic, candidate of art criticism, member of UNIMA (St. Petersburg).
From May 14 to 18, viewers and guests of the city will have a unique opportunity to see the wonderful performances of guest participants on the scenes of the Naberezhnye Chelny State Puppet Theater, the Naberezhnye Chelny State Tatar Drama Theater and the Children's School of Dramatic Art.
