Each of them carried photos and portraits of their loved ones - those who died in battle, disappeared and those who had worked on wear and tear in the rear, giving the front the opportunity to stand and win. Employees of theatrical, entertainment, concert establishments, "Tatarkino", museums, libraries stood in the same order with the Tatarstanians. The popular procession joined aslo the "Immortal Regiment of Blind Veterans", which was formed by the Republican Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired in conjunction with the Tatar Regional Organization of the WOB.
In total, 165,000 people took part in the march of memory in Kazan, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan. "Immortal Regiment" was also organized in all cities and districts of the republic.
