Premiere of “Cavarly-girl” opera in Austria takes place

January 14, Austria, Salzburg a long awaited premiere of the opera «Cavalry-girl» which production was realized by Mozarteum university took place.
The premiere was attended by the delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan: RT ministry of culture chief of section of arts development and copyrights protection Z.Ya. Salekhova, general director of Elabuga state museum-reserve G.R. Rudenko, F.Kh. Valitova director of museum -mansion N. A. Durova, chief of section of scientific-educational work and excursion work О.Е. Esipova, art director of State chamber chorus of S. Saidash Big concert hall M.A.Mudarisova and mass media representatives from Elabuga and Tatarstan.
For three days of staying in Austria the guests have acquainted with Zaltzburg sightseeing, held meetings with opera authors, visited main city museums. An important event became a ceremony of wreaths laying at the cemetery of war prisoners in city Gruedig where about 15 000 Russian, Serbian and Italians soldiers of the First World war had been buried.
A culmination moment of staying in Zaltzburg became the premiere of the opera «Cavalry girl» on the stage of Mozarteum. Four acts represent the most important episodes in life of Nadezhda Durova: life in parents house meeting with emperor Alexandr and participation in Borodino battle, acquaintance with A.S. Pushkin and literature career, returning to Elabuga The action is easy for understanding thanks to libretto text by Marianna Figl and participation of chorus on the background. The Austrian public warmly welcomed the performance.
By opinion of the present at the premiere and by words of Tatarstan delegation the opera is worth to become one of the measures within the framework of 200th anniversary of Borodino battle and victory in Patriotic war of 1812. Herewith the Republic of Tatarstan will contribute its modern interesting cultural part in celebrating memorable dates in the Russian Federation.
