Altai State Puppet Theater "Skazka" in Kazan

From   May  3 to 6, as part of the implementation of the agreement between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Government of the Altai Territory "On trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural cooperation," an exchange tour of the Tatar State Puppet Theater "Ekiyat" with the Altai State Puppet Theater "Skazka" .Barnaul. The guests of the capital will bring to Kazan three productions: "Deniskin stories" based on the stories  by  V.Dragunsky; "Masha and the Bear" based on the Russian fairy tale and "The Silver Hoof" on the tale  by  P. Bazhov. Altai State Puppet Theater "Skazka" ("Ekiyat" in translation from Tatar - also a fairy tale skazka) in Kazan for the first time. Exchange tours between Altai and the Republic of Tatarstan will allow to preserve and develop the common cultural space of the Russian Federation, expand creative ties, geography and practice of theater exchanges. Exchange tours between the leading puppet theaters of the country provide access to the best samples of domestic theatrical art for the residents of  the both regions.

The official opening of the exchange tours will take place on May 3 at 11.00 in the Big  Spectators Hall.

Reference: Altai State Puppet Theater was established in 1963. In the creative biography of the theater - the names of talented original directors, such as Matvey Babushkin, Anatoly Sviridenko, Albina Kulakova, Eugene Gimelfarb, Nikolai Kostryukov, People's Artist of Russia. Konstantin Stanislavsky Valery Volkhovsky, Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation Roman Vinderman, Honored Artist of Russia and Khakassia Ludwig Ustinov.

Over the years of the theater, over 160 performances have been staged; Today in the current repertoire there are about 30 titles. The theater is a diploma holder  of 7 international and 13 inter-regional festivals, the organizer of the festival "Puppet theater on the threshold of the XXI century" (2000 year), which became traditional for 17 Siberian cities.

For the period from 2000 to 2010, "Skazka"  has  won the prizes of regional festivals in Siberia in the nominations: "For Directing", "Best Actress", "Best Artist's Work", "For Honor and Dignity" (3 diplomas), Papa Carlo Prize, "For Service to the Theater" ( 6 diplomas). Laureate of the award by the head of administration of Barnaul in the category "Theater".
