State ensemble of song and dance of Tatarstan goes on anniversary tour
More than 1000 costumes are used by artists of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of Tatarstan in their jubilee concerts across Russia. This was announced at the dress rehearsal by artistic director of the renowned collective, People's Artist of Tatarstan Airat Khametov.
"On April 13 we will go on a big tour of the cities of the Volga region, the Urals and Siberia. The first concert will take place in Ufa, and the final in Nizhnevartovsk. The tour is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the ensemble, we have already shown a new anniversary program in Kazan and on our foreign tours. We were well received in Spain, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. However, our Russian audience is dear to us especially. For different cities, we have prepared special programs, which is called "by the request of the audience." Our compatriots from remote Tatar villages in the Russian regions asked to pay attention to the old, somewhere forgotten Tatar folk songs and dances, but in the concert program of large cities, in addition to our "golden fund", compositions from the play "Sacred Gardens" by Georgy Kovtun, as well as songs and dances of the peoples of the world - Czech, Hungarian, Belarusian, "said A. Khametov.
More than 80 artists of choral, dance groups, orchestra musicians will take part in the concerts. Only one way artists will drive by ensemble buses more than 10,000 km. As reported by the concert department of the ensemble all tickets for the upcoming performances were sold a month ago.
